I feel bad that I left Ambition and Apathy the way I did, and I am in a comicy mood. One problem is the fact that the point of A&A was to be a comic that I didn't plan out at all and just focus on practicing on art. That really didn't work for me because I can't seem to stop myself from over planning. Also, even though it is very early in the strip, I do have a lot of emotional investment in the characters and it is becoming something, at least in my mind, that I could do regardless of if I got any reaction at all. I do want to flesh out the characters and continue on the way of the storyline.
Currently, I'm trying to write out the flashback sequence, which will inevitably reveal the main characters names officially, though everyone probably knows them by now. As I've written out some of the strips, I realized that they can get relatively long, and drawing the school backgrounds are gonna take me awhile. However, I still want to get back onto an update schedule of some sort, so I have a little solution. Filler comics. I think for maybe the next 4 or 5 strips, I'm gonna just have simple, out of continuity, interactions between the two roommates.
Half-way done with the first one, but I think I will hold back till next Monday, and try to start back on the 3 update a week routine that I did so long ago.
Or this all could be a giant tease on my part.
